Base Hourly Rate $37.19/Hour
This Service is a base rate for services that require multiple tasks such as multiple stables as well as feeding multiple hours at the same time.
Feeding and Rugging an Individual Horse (Rate Per Horse) $10.50
For a single horse requiring a brief feed, walk to the paddock, and rug change, typically at the start or end of the day. These tasks are usually allotted 10-15 minute time slots. If they exceed this duration, a higher rate may apply, such as half the Base Hourly rate for a 30-minute duration. Instructions should be clear and feeds prepared in advance, or The Barn Chick can prepare them for an additional fee.
Mucking Out Stables (Rate Per Stable) $10.50
A swift cleaning of stables that are maintained daily, typically within 10-15 minute time slots. If cleaning exceeds this time, a higher rate may apply, such as half the Base Hourly rate for a 30-minute duration.
Shavings can be added to stables upon the owner's request, with the time required taken into account.
Wound Care $21/ 15minute intervals
Wound care should be performed following the instructions of a client or veterinarian. It is important to note that this does not substitute for a consultation with a qualified veterinarian. The care includes procedures like wound flushing, bandaging, and the application of ointments and medications. Injectable treatments are administered only with veterinary consent. The Barn Chick provides disposable gloves but does not supply consumables like swabs and saline.
Injection Fee $25.7/ Per Injection
Medications must be appropriately prescribed under a licensed veterinarian (within a 6month period).
Paddock Cleaning $37.19/Hour
(Minimal rate is $10/Paddock)
This service incurs charges for paddocks that demand additional time and manual labour, such as those that have not been cleared of manure for several weeks for various reasons, or those that are challenging to navigate, like those situated on a hill.
Horse Exercising/Training/ Lessons
The Barn Chick is a certified and insured EA Level One General Coach, focusing on the biomechanics and mental capacity of the horse. Her training approach combines Natural Horsemanship and Classical Dressage, incorporating cross-training to develop a well-rounded, reliable steed for the long haul.
Holding for Professional i.e. Farriers, Veterinarians $37.19/Hour
If you find yourself detained at work, caught in traffic, or otherwise unable to attend to your horse, The Barn Chick is ready to step in. Leveraging our veterinary experience, we are available to assist and hold your horse for any professional needs.
House/Pet Sitting Services
For a personalized quote from The Barn Chick, please inquire directly as the service is highly dependent on your pet's individual needs, such as the daily time required, whether The Barn Chick needs to stay on-site, the number of pets, any medications they are on, plants that need watering, coordination with other professionals, and so on.
